FAQ

Q: I need an individual income tax return prepared. How much do you charge?

A: As of June 2013, our minimum fee for preparing individual income tax returns is $166. There are no exceptions to this pricing. Your actual invoice will vary depending on the complexity of your return. In general, if you’re shopping for the cheapest price, we probably aren’t the right fit for you.

Q: How much do you charge to prepare business tax returns?

A: If your business is a sole proprietorship, the minimum fee for preparing a Schedule C is $75. Tax returns for entities (partnership, corporate) start at $225 and up.

Q: How would you describe your ideal client?

A: Dinesen Tax & Accounting, P.C. is looking to work with clients who want a long-term relationship with an accounting firm that can handle anything that comes along. If you’re looking for someone to just plug some numbers into a computer and hit send, we’re probably not the right fit for you.

Q: I own a business and need accounting services. Do I have to hold you on retainer? How does that work?

A: We don’t require businesses to sign contracts with us or hold us on retainer, though most business clients do hire us on a contract basis. Another option is pay-as-you-go. This is seldom used but is an option.

The fee for a contract with us varies widely, depending on what you need. We meet with you one-on-one to determine exactly what you need and then craft a contract just for you.

Q: Whether I need a personal tax return prepared or need corporate accounting work done, why should I work with you?

A: Personal attention. When you work with Dinesen Tax & Accounting, P.C., you work directly with the owner, Jason Dinesen.
