The U.S. Supreme Court this week denied to hear an appeal filed by actor Wesley Snipes on his tax evasion conviction. Snipes is serving a three-year prison sentence on the conviction, which stemmed from failing to file tax returns and pay income tax on more than $37 million of income between 1999-2004. Actress Marlee Matlin, who recently was on “Celebrity Apprentice,” is the latest celebrity with tax problems. Matlin owes $50,000 in back taxes from 2009. She says she and her husband have worked out a payment plan with the IRS.
